200: running in a clio 200 cup

when running in a clio 200 cup, how many miles do you have to run it in for ? any top tips on running in the car for best results, cheers

cheers, is that not going above a certain revs ? im sure i read on here that someone run theirs in on the track lol thats obviously not steady ! your car is well nice noddie ! im defo thinking an akrapovic when i get my 200

Cheers.

As long as you dont redline it I dont think it really matters what revs you take it to. Certainly say 6k max maybe?

I've always found the best way to run them in is to show them who's boss but don't bonce them off the limiter everywhere - they always seem to run miles better and a lot quicker than when you run them in like a grandma on a sunday trip to the shops

I looked into it before I got my 200, best advice I found was to avoid prolonged periods at constant revs. Other than that enjoy it.

drive it like you stole it from day one! Thats why you have 3 years warrenty iirc?

Also i expect to get slated for this.... but had my car rolling roaded standard two weeks ago at stealth racing (vw specialist) on 2000miles and had 206bhp

Its obvious everyone will say the roller arent accurate.....but 206bhp FTW

I recently spoke to a good friend of mine who happens to do race car prep and also works next door to Scholar Engines. He told me both him and Scholar run engines in by running them gently for 15-20 minutes on a dyno and then using them as they're supposed to be used.

Basically don't hesitate to give them all the revs you want, but just don't apply too much load (e.g going up a hill in 5th gear) for the first couple of thousand miles or so.
