G'day All,
Made my first post elsewhere but I thought I'd come over here and introduce myself anyway. In July last year I picked up one of the first 200 Cup 20th Anniversary Editions delivered to Australia. We only receiving 30 of them and I got number 19. My previous ride was a 2004 MkIV VW Golf R32.
Here in Australia we have only two models available for the Clio Sport. They're called the Cup and Cup Trophee. They all come standard with Cup suspension, Climate Control, Ipod, Cruise Control, Bluetooth and soft touch dash. The Cup gets the standard seats and 5 spoke Cup alloys and black bumper inserts, side mirrors and diffuser. The Cup Trophee gets Recaros, Anthracite (grey) bumper inserts, side mirrors and diffuser and automatic folding mirrors and BeBop alloy wheels. There's no option for a stripped out "Cup" version like you guys get in the UK.
Only six colours were originally available for both models; Racing Blue, Deep Black, Toro Red, Mercury Silver, Liquid Yellow and Alien Green. Leather and Projector lights are not available. The usual racing wing, side skirts, decals, boot trays, roof racks and floor mats are all optional accessories as is the TomTom inbuilt Sat Nav. For 2011 it looks like Glacier White will be an option as well.
For the 20th Anniversary Edition we got the deep black roof and lip spoiler with black bumper inserts and diffuser but anthracite bumper splitter and side mirrors. The car itself is finished in Pearl Ice White. We also got Satin Black Speedlines and also some nice little badging. All in all a nice little package and in my opinion the pick of the models we've got so far.
They also did a run of 30 Gordini's (in blue) which were based on the Cup spec (no Recaros), however these came with RS Monitor and also the projector/cornering lights which I'm still dirty about (I'll sort the lights out soon though). Currently they are also doing a limited run of White Gordinis in exactly the same spec as the previous blue ones.
The plan for the moment is to keep it pretty much stock but that hasn't stopped me fitting some Philips Silverline indicator bulbs, LED interior and number plate lights to replace the standard yellow bulbs. I've also got a full length whip antenna and a stubby antenna from my old Golf which fits (currently I've fitted the stubby). The windows have also been tinted. Next step will be the projector lights and a HID conversion. The only other thing I've been looking at is panel filter and intake options in regards to the acoustic valve.
I've also got a nasty paint chip in the bonnet for which I'm currently trying to source the two colours required to correctly match it when repaired (the joys of pearl paint jobs).
Also had my first proper service today (10,000 km).
Anyway enough talk here's some photos.
Cheers.
