Roof boxes?

Hi guys

Just wanted to see if anyone has done this on a Clio 197?

I'm planning to do some long road trips down to the Alps and even the Le mans 24hr and perhaps further a field next year.
Has anyone on here ever fitted some roof bars and roof box to their 197?

I was planning to get a roof box and have it painted the same colour as the car so it doesn't look to out of place when its up there.
If anyone fancies having ago with photoshop that would be cool.

Mines a LY R27 by the way.

Thule aero bars and Thule box are the way to go. Not cheap but very good quality.

i got Halfords mounting brackets and Paddy hopkirk bars and a cheap hafords roof box it cost about £140 quid in total

Glad someone mentioned this as I'm going to do the same next year

Hopefully when I get the box will get it sprayed and perhaps add some R27 decals to it to make it look snazzy.

..are you carrying kids?...I used to take the seat benches out and fold the seat backs down...loads of room then and no loss of aerodynamics/fuel consumption/handling....

Nah me and a few friends are wanting to go on a bit of a road trip and Le Mans next year. as well as a couple F1 races in Europe. It would be easier to have all the camping gear in the roof box out the way.
