Clip cup roof scoop - rain

Had a Flacsi carbon roof scoop fitted to my track car for ages and just wondered if anybody had ever come up with a good solution to the dripping when it rains.

The water ingress isn't because I haven't sealed it properly to the roof but rain being driven in to the scoop when on track. Closing the internal vents doesn't help.

Not sure how the proper cup race cars dealt with it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ian.

Most people I’ve seen run a drain plug and some tube to carry the water away from the bottom of the vent. I’m sure someone will be along with a picture.

Mine has a small hose coming off the bottom to drain the inner part. I’ll grab a picture later

I have a universal roof scoop with same principle, drain plug and pipe running into engine bay. In heavy rain I do get the occasional drip, but nothing serious.
