Hi guys i had my clio dyno'd at the weekend as part of a group of mates day out and laugh.
As you may have seen from my brief project page atm she is totally standard with not even a Panel filter yet
so to push 201.2 on the RR i was chuffed yes the french can do it lol

Not bad result there.

What gear are they supposed to be dyno'd in? I thought it was either 3rd or 4th?

Mine was done in 4th and read 193.5BHP 153.8Ft/lbs. I know most boxes have a gear with a ratio of almost 1:1 so that would be preferable, not sure which it is in the Clio though, might be different from 197 to 200 too... In fact, later 197s might be slightly different to earlier 197s again in that respect.

its 4th gear! All 4th gears, whatever box it is they are all the same, its the only gear that is.

Might sound a bit daft, but is it still 4th gear in car with a 5-Speed 'box?

Yeah think so, matt at tdf used 4th in my 182, and 4th in my 197 a few years ago.

That may explain why I got such high readings. Think 3rd has been used every time.

Normaly you use one gear before the last.

5 speed gearbox - dyno 4th gear
6 speed gearbox - dyno 5th gear
