Rolling road map or 'Rs tuner' device??

Hi everyone, I'm looking to get my car mapped but I'm undecided on how to go about it!
i know that taking it to a tuning garage with a rolling road is always good (as long as they know what they're doing) but I've also read very good things about the Rs tuning device?

i need some experienced advice on a final decision please guys!! Thanks

I think generally when these threads pop up, the answer is almost always "go to RS Tuning in Leeds" .... and that seems to be regardless of where in the country you're based

I can't talk from personal experience, however I'd agree with what CallorFold says, a proper, custom remap will get the most out of your car.

They're most useful if you've already made other mods, such as exhaust etc. They are generally more expensive, however from what I've read, it is worth the money.

Sorry to hijack a little, but on the subject of re-mapping, is there any benefit/advantage to having the Clio remapped, without changing the exhaust?

From what I've heard, the intake/exhaust system on the Clio is actually rather well designed and isn't too restrictive.

On mine, I've swapped the panel filter, but still on the standard exhaust - would a remap be a waste of time? Or would you still feel some of the benefits?

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated! I have just recently fitted an itg maxogen induction kit and a scorpion catback system, inevitably I have the dreaded 'flat spot' syndrome So my intention is to get the car mapped and hopefully sort this but a drive to Leeds from were I'm based (Medway, Kent) is VERY far so I have been thinking of purchasing the rstuning remote remap device?? or finding a specialist centre nearby that can tune my car on the rolling road?

I have read mixed reviews on these guys and I'm very OTT with my car so I want to be absolutely certain I choose a Reputable company to work on her

Oh yes I have heard about these guys, complete crossed my mind! Thanks for the help DS197 :thumbup1:
