Removing a recaro

Hello,

I'm willing to remove the passenger recaro's, so that access to the rear with the baby is easier.

I tried to remove the screws, which hold the rails to the floor, but they seem stuck as hell. I'm working with a simple kind of screw driver.
It's like I'm gonna need something with a bit more (muscle) power :tomato:

Anyone removed a recaro yet? How did you do it?

You need to used a rachet set. It wont budge with a screwdriver

Disconnect the battery for 30 mins before you start, otherwise when you unplug the wires under the seat the airbags may go off.

Use a ratchet and special star drive to remove the 4 bolts and seat should tilt back,
Unplug the wires underneath and lift out seat.

When you reconnect battery you will have an airbag light on though as you've not got a complete circuit anymore.
I couldn't even guarentee airbags not going off.

as said the seat bolts are locktited in so are quite hard to remove...

once the seat is out you will have the airbag light on and the system wont work!!

Just get a good bit of leverage on it and they will come off. They are pretty well screwed in but they do shift!

You can get torx Allen keys from halfords with a long handle on them. I bought a set of about 10 for £14.99 this may be easier. If not you will need a torx socket (I ended up getting one from ebay to take the steering wheel off the 350z)
