R26, 250 or S2k? For export.....

Trying narrow down what car to search for when I'm back next year for a while, somehow always drawn back to an RS. I will use it in the UK for 1 year then it'll be exported to South Korea where I will be. These are the current contenders but open to suggestion of anything that's as good as the above for fun and around the same price.

Now for my thoughts on each car.

R26 & 250
Pros- great fun, easy to drive fast, none in SK, looks nicer IMO
Cons- FWD, cost of parts in Asia

S2k
Pros- RWD, drop top, great sound, easier to source parts from JP
Cons- lack of torque, around 20 cars in SK, practicality

just to give you an idea on price of parts, parts for my R53 costs 3 times as much here than in US. I don't know how reliable the RS would be at this age.

Thoughts? Which one would you choose for roads that resemble the ones you see in Japanese Touges?

Easy for me...250, if not the 250 then the R26

Is an option not to buy parts in the UK, France or even Oz as i believe they have a nice demand for RS's - then just ship the parts to South Korea?

Will you just airfreight the car to Korea? Just asking out of interest as i work in Logistics

airfreight? I don't even want to know the bill. Haha It'll go to Japan by container first to my friend and I'll take it on the ferry to Korea.

Parts wise is eu can buy the parts but postage is the killer. UK parts is expensive and add in duty it makes it eye watering lay expensive. Shockingly importing parts with duty and shipping is still cheaper than buying it from rip off Korean importers.

Elise? I did think about it but unsure on day to day liveability.

S2000 for me, wouldn't be my first choice but seeing as it'll be going to korea its the sensible choice purely for the parts.

Keep in mind that most R26's will be coming up for their second cam belt service and the 250's their first.
If you do go for an RS i'd get it done here at a specialist for piece of mind before exporting it.
