Blooming thing, want an Android thing :swear:

That aside, the main home page thing when you press the start button thing, has a search page, then another page of iPad related icons, then slide across and there is another page of downloaded apps icons.

Anyway of making a third page as the page is getting full of icons, and it being an apple product, doesn't seem to have an obvious option to add a third page or customising the current icons.

Add a start button I say

Yes it does.You.can put all your icons into one another.Just press one app when it flashes drag it to another app and they will together in 1app

What roy means is you can group apps in folders,

press and hold the app until they start to wiggle
then drag one app onto another app and it will create a folder placing both apps in the folder.
to add another drag it into the folder.
to remove them reverse the action.

to put them onto a new screen
press and hold an app till they wiggle
hold and drag the app off the screen to the right and it will move it to the next page.
on the last page if you drag it off to the right it will create a new page and place it on it.

you must have a minimum of 1 app per page or the page will be deleted.

i see you managed it.

but seriously you need to jailbreak it and get 99% of all apps totally FREE!

WELCOME

^^^ this is true but I can't be bothered as there are just to many + there are millions of free ones anyway:wink:

ok to jailbreak your ipad you need to download a small jailbreak program for either windows or mac depending on your laptop/computer.

so if you have a windows machine download The Windows Jailbreak or the Mac jailbreak.

step 1: Back up your ipad with itunes

Step 2: Goto your downloaded, find the compressed file and extract all of the contents like you would with any standard zip file. Place the files on your desktop for easy and quick access.

Step 3: Using a standard 30-pin connector cable, connect the device to be jailbroken with your computer.

Step 4: Launch the Absinthe tool through the executable file which you downloaded in step 1. When launched, the program will show an initial interface that will have some text-based information on it, and a “Jailbreak” button.

Absinth2.png

Step 5: If the device is connected properly as per step 3 then the Jailbreak button should be available. Press the button to begin the jailbreak process.

The initial Absinthe tool for iOS 5.0.1 accompanied with it a new method for jailbreaking iOS devices, so with that in mind, don’t be alarmed if the device looks like if it is going through a restore process. The progress bar on the Absinthe GUI will provide user feedback, please don’t touch the device at this time.

Step 6: When the payload process is complete and you’re confronted with your device’s lock screen, the ever familiar Cydia icon will be present on the home screen. The device is now successfully jailbroken untethered and you can now install any extensions or packages via Cydia, provided that your device is supported by them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now opening cydia app for the first time

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRJt1T94uQ15tAj7YNZix4tqT58R4sVzxXlmyOvZku6kNJ0FBxieA.png

it will prepare the file system

it will then close again iirc

open it again if it does and it will ask for what control you want

User, Hacker or Developer

select user and then hit done (top right)

Cydia will then open and do an update check.

You have now jailbroken your ipad
:bounce1:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to add "Trial" apps (full apps that are termed trial) you need to add an app via cydia called Install0us.

to do this you need to add a "repo" which is a link to download links to other bits of software (packages).

so open cydia
click the sources tab at the bottom (ipad only has this, iphone has manage, then sources)
click edit (top right)
then add (top left)
in the address bar add http://cydia.hackulo.us/
once the download is done click the sources tab and you will see the Hackulo.us link
click the right arrow
scroll down to installous 5 and click it
click install (top right)
confirm
and it will install the Install0us app

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so now open Install0us
from the home page click settings (top right)
and make sure they are all set to on
Now click search
search an app (say angry birds seasons)
open the app link you wish to install by clicking on it
and then click download link
this displays where you can download the app from
they will be listed with a version number off the app with newest version at the top
click one
add the capture code
then follow the download instructions (this depends on where the app is download from but they are all similar)
once the download completes install0us will install the app.

*****WARNING***** If you install an app via install0us NEVER update it via itunes or YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE APP, simply update it via install0us when available, there is an update tab to check for updates.

Mike it really, really is very straight forward.

It's just the setting up that takes a little time.

After that it is as easy as adding apps via the app store!

You should have seen how it used to be!
