Passenger side front caliper leaking

Just looking for abit of advise before I take it to a garage as i don't want to go in blind, im just wanting to get a rough idea what to expect.

My mate noticed when taking my spacers off the car that the front passengers side caliper was leaking brake fluid from the pipe going into the caliper he tried tightening it up but with no luck.

anyone els had this problem and is it a new caliper that is required?.

which pipe? the main hydraulic one or the link pipe on the underside of the caliper?

It was coming from the bleed nipple on top of the caliper

as long as the thread is ok in the caliper it might just be a case of fitting a new nipple and bleeding it

My threads were shot on my calipers. Hope yours are OK, they're not cheap to replace!

Did you have to replace both mate?. How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking fella?
im tempted to get shut when the problems resolved.

I had to replace both rears, but they managed to get the fronts out. The bleed nipples were almost welded into the calipers, but they got them out by heating them up.


i replaced both the rears but it was about £300 iirc. I think a full set is over £700
