Opinions on this 197

Hi all

just joined here a few days ago looking for some advice on buying a 197, I've had a look at the buyers guide and just wondering what everyones opinion on this 197 I've found;

Not much info on the site, but its going to have a cambelt change, recaros, keyless entry etc

How's the service the history?

Personally not a fan of the blue, for me it's black or nothing.

That's racing blue I believe? Looks good

Welcome, that looks smart that, I like the Gordini style offset stripe. That's Racing Blue, flat colour. It's got xenons too, which is always a bonus. Price is a little high considering the millage, so should be able to get some knocked off.

Looks alright I love that blue I used to have a 106gti in a very similar blue! Make sure the cambelt, water pump and aux drive belt have been done, Renault did me for £600 last Friday for that so you don't want to be paying that yourself. The wheels would contrast better in anthracite. If it looks unmolested knock the price down as far as you dare, I'd say £6000 cash, no trade in and you'll walk away the proud owner of a nice hatchback, remember it is a buyers market so look around cos there are loads about for around the same money....

Cheers for the replies guys. Yeah its racing blue, full service history with the last one done around 40k I think.

Hopefully going to have a look at it this week and take it for a text drive!
