how much oil does your 197 eat between oil changes?

mine easily swallows at least 1 liter every 8,000 kms

I had a 150,000 kms ibiza cupra before this car and it didn't consume a drop

...mine uses a litre between services I would say.....so every 24k miles....if you drive hard I supose it will use more oil...don't know if hotter temperatures have an impact but it will be affected by extreme cold.....

I leave in Greece i change my oils every 5000 kms because i drive in the city.i haven't lost a drop until now 57000km.I have added some Motor Kote on the engine just for protection

I only have filled one litre oil in about 5k miles. And I didn't even know if it was nessessessaryry (hate that word...)

22,000 kms now and oil consumption has increased to 1l every 2,000kms

strangely there's no loss of power/compression, no smoke and no leaks

I've started to get problems with the oil consumption too the last months. I bought 1L oil 19/4 and I've been forced to filled in everything and I've only been driving like max 2000km...? No leak, no smoke and loss of power either. Any ideas??

The renault guys say no big deal :whatever: :swear:

I am little short on money right now but i hope within the next two months i'll give it a general upgrade and sort this along with other problems at a renaultsport specialist:..

i've used 1/2 a litre it total since december 2007 inbetween 3 services and 35,000 miles and i check it regularly. it's been tracked and hammered a few times inbetween services not what i would call a easy life
