No outdoor temperature on the LCD display

I have a 200 cup, on the dashboard LCD display where the clock is, there isnt an outdoor temperature on the display.

I do have an aftermarket headunit, could this be why or is it a "cup" thing?

Yeah bit stupid really... I mean how much weight can removing a sensor save, few grams maybe? Every little helps I guess...

Plus might help aerodynamically wise...no little "nipple" sitting out there on one wingmirror...balances the car too lol

The cups have manual mirrors so it's perhaps that that stops it not being fitted.

If the electric mirrors are the only ones with the sensor in them.

This is a bit of a pain in the ass too. They also dont adjust as much as electric mirrors so I see more of the side of my car than cars behind. Also im thinking there is no electric heaters in the mirror glass. having to use a credit card to defrost them as the scraper wont fit the cavity.
