Newbie Clio 197 Cup

Hello, MY R32 has 122k, i bought it nearly new so have done most of the miles myself, drove it everyday for many years, then 3 years ago, totally restored it and only use now and then, it feels like new and the build quality is immense (even more evident now I have the clio lol)

yeah Clio is booked in tomorrow to see what is required, I am hoping I like it when the suspension noises etc are gone

My next-door neighbour had a silver R32 - gorgeous cars, he said he had a lot of issues with some things wearing out quick, wheel bearings rings a bell.

I not really heard of that , mine had a radiator at 100k, fuel pump at 90 and apart from that it just needs a service once a year , probably the cheapest car I have owned to run etc ...

So it’s been to garage and needs a ball joint there are 3 and it’s the middle and a shock absorber

Any ideas on cost ?

Fair play, I had the impression it had low miles. At least you know how it's been treated.

Evening

So I could not fall in love with the clio and sold it to a specialist who has fixed the little bits to sell on ,

However I have replaced it with this and I love it

Yeah I love it ,

The reason I bought the clio was I loved my old clios (Williams & Trophy)

And wanted that feel again , the 197 felt to big,

The 133 totally reminds me of the 90’s and early 00’s clios - it’s perfect

Also I have found out that they only made 1994 and there are 355 left so are starting to appreciate in value

At this rate I will have 2 cars I just keep in the garage lol

If one came for the right price I'd like a Gordini 133 however I can't justify it and having two cars which are both not really economical

I had a look at the gordini, but as it’s my daily I thought it would be a waste , also I wanted the lowest mileage one I could find and they had a few more than I was looking for

Also it’s great on fuel compared to the clio

Sounds like you've found your ideal car.

From the fact you're on here though - i take it the Twango forums aren't upto much...... :sunglasses:

Fair play, I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Twingo RS, saw one at Trax and came off the track in a cloud of white smoke! Only had to get back Swansea way so not far on the back of a truck.....

Thats a nice positive real World experience you've shared there Ben. Thanks for that.

Did it look good on the back of the truck though ?
