unsprung weight is x 4 when sprung weight so 2kg a wheel is converted to

32kgs !!! is sprung weight
 
yup, they are not just magnesium, as they would cost a lot more.

They just have a higher magnesium content. Generally magnesium wheels would shatter rather than bend. Watching Rallying will show that.

At the end of the day, if your hitting a wheel hard enough to 'bend' it, no matter what its made from, its gonna get fooked!!

I unfortunately didnt weigh a standard wheel before i sold them on, so have no weight comparison.
 
Seeing the Cup cars bounce over the ''sausage'' kerbs at Knockhill and Oulton Park, I reckon you'd need to REALLY be on one to buckle one on the road. :smiley:
 
They look stunning, at that price i think i'd sooner have a set of those than some aftermarket ones :thumbup:
