So yesterday was mine and Gazerrati's second go at removing all the swirls from me 200T so we have done the front wings, bonnet, and passenger doors and rear 1/4. All pictures taken by Gaz

We have been using a dual action cleaner polish and then finishing off speed glaze mate.

Looks nice, so close to looking like a 1.2 for me personally though.

when you see them parked side by side then it's clear which is the RS model, as with the 172 the only real changes are the front and rear bumper and wheels and brakes from side profile. At a glance you can mistake a 1.2 campus for a 182, same applies with this, at a glance you would mistake a 1.2 for a RS, but those who with a trained eye know the difference.

The 172 has wider arches and a wider track, bonnet and the bumpers are far more prominent as well.

1*2's or 197/200's definitely don't look as similar to the non-sports of their eras..

Detailing Session Part 1: Claying, Badge Removal & Machine Polish Bonnet and Wings


As is from the dealer after we got it 3 days before on the friday

All the car is swirled like this. But a black car is worse for swirls appearing then most other colours

Jet washed and then snow foamed

Washed and then Clio badge removed

Clayed and Dried

Sticky residue from the rear badge removed with Autoglym Glass Polish

Then a quick snap break []

Masked off the plastics and rubbers around the Wings and Bonnet area ready for machine polishing. Also Swissvax Onyxed the rest of the car we weren't doing today

Front wings and Bonnet machine polished. 2 x with Megs Dual Action Cleaner Polish and 1 x Speed glaze and then Waxed with Swissvax Onyx

Autoglym Bumper and trim for the plastics

RimWax was applied to the wheels and Spiffing Tyre dressing

MK4 and Mk3 Clio Badges

Had to get mine in some where
