My Albi blue r27

I'm in the middle of spending quite a bit on my house at the moment and to make matters worse I just spotted a nice site which has made me think about building again so my planned spend on upgrades might be slow but I thought I'd start a thread anyway.

Bought my car approx a month ago, bought it as I second car to run in the winter to keep another car good! The car turned out cleaner than I thought and as usual I've started my usual (I'll just give it a quick clean) which turned into sitting in my garage for the last two weeks and me all over it.

Really wanted to access the underside and arches so I removed the liners and cleaned everything, all looked good so I'm a happy man  had a plate on retention so just put it on the car too.

Plans....

Inside.. All looks good in there, possibly a new set of mats!

Exterior...body work wise and styling I'm fully happy with it, no plans to add anything

Chassis wise etc...

Front struts have seen better days, rears as well, would like a shiny new set of coil overs

rear discs and pads are ok but will replace them at some point soon, fronts look good

Going to referb the front and rear calipers either metallic anthracite with yellow decals or yellow with black decals and a set of Hel brake lines

Change the gearbox oil shortly

Service and belt change in December for piece of mind

Sorry there are no big plans like some of the great threads on here but I'm mostly happy with the car as is

When I got it

Nothing massive but hope it's on some intrest

Best colour  The front looks great with the splitter, and I am beyond jealous of you having your own car ramp!

Lol, cheers, had it a while now, was of more use when I had the TVR! Just used for cleaning the cars tbh, bit over kill but makes it easy.

LOVING your lift mate. Very jealous of that.

The R27 looks fantastic, good on you for making such an effort immediately.

Nothing bad about keeping it as Renault intended, they left the factory being superb fun and very capable indeed!

Cheers bud, the lift is great but if I had had the floor thicker I'd had sunk it so it's easier to place blocks at the jacking points, the ramp, although very low, still sits too high for lowered cars so you have to have an additional ramp at the front and rear for a static height to get the blocks in, no biggy TBH, it's handy having access to all the corners for wheel removal

Yeah, when I bought my BMW we had a similar situation, the guy had the lift but had to add a ramp to get on the ramp...

The joys of modified car ownership. I'd still love one even if it's a bit of a pain getting on it!

Nice post mate, car looks really tidy!

Like the number plate too! Not very appropriate for such a clean car though! :tonguewink:

Having said that, I'm sure it will be filthy after a short journey or two :excited:

Great start to the project thread, and also very nice to see a really clean, standard R27. It looks mint! I'm another that's jealous of the ramp... but then I'm also jealous of your driveway AND garage - some people are just spoilt

Cheers buddy, built the house about 14 yrs back now, done a lot of it myself, driveway is being redone in 2 months and I'm getting a new fence, kerbing and tar at the front! Looking forward to getting it done, hate parting with the money :-(

It looks great, plenty of land and a nice big driveway! I know absolutely nothing about it, but I imagine it's a really satisfying thing to build your own house!

Thanks again, it was an eye opener but very enjoyable hence the look out for another plot, comes with its own set of issues too, people fell out with me when I built it! I just don't get that attitude tbh! I see people day in day out doing a lot better than me with a lot bigger houses and nicer cars! I think fair play to you, health to enjoy, I don't think, can't wait to see you fall :-( it's just the way some are sadly, well as they say, I'm happy as long as it sticks in their throat! Lol

Another ramp lover here - very jealous!

Enjoy your beast and Keep us updated!

(Off to google if I could get one)

Cheers Chris, think they are about £1550 delivered in England, I've had no issues with it and 3 tonne max, just be aware that you need an air compressor for the safety lock release as they need an air supply to unlatch them.

Have been all my life bud, TBH the space and quiet is nice but I hate having to look after it, garden etc, something half the size would have been ample, it's near an acre of grass to cut, I really do detest doing it :-(
