Seen as i have done a few bits to the car since i've had it i thought i'd start a thread about it. Not planning on doing too much because I'm not made of money and i love how most of the the exterior and interior looks at the moment.
I had a R27 for 3 weeks before somebody thought it'd be a good idea to drive straight into the back of me..
I then came into a bit of money so thought i would treat myself to an impreza, bad idea as it emptied my bank account faster than i could empty my bladder, got rid after a year, but if i'm honest it was 1 hell of a car and i do miss it
When i first got it home in August 2009
Good old AG paint been ultra photogenic as usual...
1st mod was a small stubby arial that i bought off ebay, havent got a picture of this but we all know what a stubby arial looks like lol
2nd mod, well i couldnt believe my luck with this. Ktec put an advert up on there website asking for the loan of a donor car for a week so they could develop their new exhaust for the 200, so i emailed them, and they asked for my car, a 700 mile roundtrip 1 friday morning and my car was left with them for a week, a week later another 700 mile roundtrip and i collected it with a free decat ktec exhaust system on.
3rd was the wheels, i was never a fan of the 5 spoke alloys, so i was on the lookout for another set when John on the renaultsport.co.uk forum was wanting to swap his raiders on his 200 for the standard 200 wheels, so i bit his hand off and swapped them over.
They didnt stay anthracite very long because my dad decided he would drive my car up against the curb and scuff the hell out of the front wheel. I decided to get all 4 refurbed in satin black. Had them done at LSN coatings in cas, £40 a wheel and for that they stripped, repaired and powder coated each wheel. Bargain
And then i came across some H&R 25mm spacers so i snapped them up and fitted them all round. I havent noticed any handling difference but i much prefer the stance of it, could do to be a tad lower but unfortunatly i havent got a money tree in my garden.
Thats it so far. Plans for the future:
Black door handles and side bullets (not too sure about this)
Carbon tail pipe trims
Bride/recaro seats
Remap
KW V1's
Maybe: Half cage, strip the rear seats out, carpet the rear, harness's (R26R style)
I will try keep this updated, but considering i've had the car 2 years now and have only done 4 things, dont hold your breath lol
