Mattie's FF Track Car

Started off with just been a replacement for my awefull DS3!! But after a few days of driving her I knew I'd get back into track days.

The idea was for it to be a weekend car as I have a van and the Clio for fun.

Just the one pic of it when i got it as we all know what these look like;



The first owner had ticked all the optional extras apart from the Cup Package

Pretty much stayed as was till I took it for its first track day. So it then started to become more track orientated, 9 times out of 10 theres only me or just one other person that goes in there, anyway saw a Oulton Park rollcage and couldnt resist :tongue_smilie:





With the Rear Strut brace



After reading about how badly matched the inlets are, I sent mine off to get matched



Picked up tow hook on ebay



Then the car came off road for while the alloys got powdercoated, while they where off i bought a TPMS kit too,
Colour is Pearlescent White, with CC'd Centre caps









And the Display temp position for now.



And how she sits for the winter,





These are ready to go on but wont be till 2 Piece Discs and Ferroda Pads are bought.

Also forgot that there is a ITG filter in there too and the inlet is now powdercoated black, but cant find any pics of them!

I aint got them yet, been looking at the KTR 2-piece or the 330mm upgrade tho!

I'm looking at the 330mm upgrade myself. Just a word of warning. Prices go back up on 3rd January.

I've seen some for about £90 and might get one soon as I'm due 4 new tyres in a couple months so it would be good to get tyres + sensors fitted at the same time.

Its the TyreSure one from Demon-Tweeks, This cost me £157 tho,
The only one i found so far that has decent valves that look like normal ones and has the sensor on the inside of the tyre.

A lil update;

Finally made the plunge and got myself the K-Tec 2 piece rotors and Ferodo Racing DS3000 pads. While i was at it i also put the Goodrich hoses i had on.

While i was waiting for delivery of the Discs/Pads I decided to paint the calipers to suit the theme of the car

Had a nighmare and totally forgot about new caliper pins so had to make a trip to Renault and £65 late

Also while i did the fronts i thought why not take the rears off to match. and give them a good clean aswell,

Dirty I know She got a clean afterwards

Also recently I fitted a TRS tow strap and adaptor thanks to Will





And lastly thanks to Luke i swapped out my 197 dials for 200





After all that she deserved a clean,

Looking good Mattie!!! I like the color-coding on the Calipers, something I quite fancy doing myself eventually.

Any further plans for her?

Looks smart, if you haven't mounted your TPMS display yet, I have a gear lever surround that I modified slightly to allow the cable through.

Cheers Will, the calipers looked so odd been greyish under the white alloys, was a painful week cleaning them, primer etc but it was worth it.
As for plans im looking at options, but F4Rt looks to be one of the best ones so far

I haven't found a place for the TPMS yet, i was looking at putting it in the radio display as i dont really need that
