LED sidelights

I'm thinking of changing the standard 501 side light bulbs to led ones.

I'm just wondering are there certain designs of leds that are better than others for this?

I personally have the 5 led ones that have one led on each side and one facing forwards, prefer them to the ones that only have front facing LEDs as the project light in all directions rather than just face on. I guess it's down to personal preference.

Just ordered these off eBay as they were matching ones to my interior leds.

i use the CREE led ones, much brighter than the standard leds for the sidelights

I had led bulbs and I didn't have hids so they looked awful as they were contrasting, LEDs were white and bulbs were the normal colour! Took them out now, do you have hids or xenons?

You could just change your main beam bulbs?

I have those. They're expensive but they are years ahead of the cheap ones. I had some of the £2 for two types in before and they were pitiful in comparison.

Which normal bulbs give out white light? Be interested to know for future, I change to extreme visions and there not much different from standard.

diamond visions are the best, some one did a comparison on here ehrn fitting a set.

Aren't diamond vision almost blue?

I've got halfords ultra blue (says on pack for off road use only) there not blue though! Nice white look to them that match the sidelights!
