autec wheels look great. any idea how much they weigh?
Here's the link to a few pics of them mate: http://www.clio197.net/threads/chriss-ly-200t.49455/page-40#post-669802 . If you click the last photo, it'll take you to flickr, where you can click on it again to zoom in. Unfortunately I don't have any other pictures of the alloys clean or in good light because as @Big Ben will also tell you, most of the time they're actually black and ridden with brake dustOoooh I've gotta see this!

You should definitely do it, you won't regret it! Gold wheels go just as well with red cars as they do with blue. I'm planning to get mine powdercoated next year.Holy shit they're nice!! Think that's made my mind up! [emoji16]

I think I'll plastidip mine as the standard matt gunmetal has grown on me and it would be nice if I could go back to it at some point, so I think that'll be my best bet. Plus if I end up not liking it, it won't cost me anything to revert back! You should definitely do it, you won't regret it! Gold wheels go just as well with red cars as they do with blue. Good point. I wouldn't have bothered with the plastidip if I was to do it again as the base coat colour to get the shade of gold I have was only available from Switzerland and it all roughly came to £100. Although the top coat was gold metalizer which you can buy from the UK.I think I'll plastidip mine as the standard matt gunmetal has grown on me and it would be nice if I could go back to it at some point, so I think that'll be my best bet. Really!? Which base was it? I do like the look of the metalizer gold, but there's so many options it's hard to choose!Good point. It was vintage gold mate: https://www.prodip.eu/Plasti-Dip-Spray-True-Metallic-Cans-Vintage-Gold. I did 3 coats of this on the barrel and face of each wheel followed by 4/5 coats of the gold metalizer. I wouldn't bother doing the barrels of the wheels again as you can't see them, meaning that you can get away with just two cans of vintage gold. If you use a black base coat with gold metalizer you get more of a bronze colour.Really!? Which base was it? I do like the look of the metalizer gold, but there's so many options it's hard to choose!

Yeah I don't think I'd do the barrels, just not worth it.It was vintage gold mate: https://www.prodip.eu/Plasti-Dip-Spray-True-Metallic-Cans-Vintage-Gold. You'll find that there's a lot of american forums where the users experiment with colours as it's just so much cheaper there. Unfortunately since the photobucket debacle, a lot of the pictures must be down which also doesn't help!
Thanks shuv! Yeah they're really good value for money even if the colour choice isn't great. Personally I don't mind the Matt gunmetal too much, I just love the fact you can see everything behind the wheel now!Wheels look really great Lee. Great choice for the money these rims are. I believe lighter than standards of any type too ! ?
As an aside [But still talking of great-value wheels] - i came across these on ebay during the week - and thought what a great looking wheel for no money too. Ideal for a track-set. Or maybe even as 'bests'. Hardly worth having a roughish set powdercoated at this price to be fair.....
***Hard as i tried i couldn't find out the weight of them though :-(

Actually really good, for me they're a bit narrow on the shoulders as mine are quite wide. Other than that they're spot on. I'm very impressed with them!Hi Lee, just catching up with your thread. The fixed back seats appear to give such a great low driving position. How do you find them comfort wise for leg position? I’d dearly love to lower my driving position, but worry a bit about how my legs / feet to pedal position will feel.

I've got mine set as high as possible without runners and that's perfect for me at 6ft. With runners you'd get a decent amount more height, same if you had different side mounts.
