no not at all restrictive, it just changes the engines requirments for fuel and spark. Quite normal issues. Any decent modifications need mapping to release their potential

Yeah I understand that, I mean the standard ecu will only adjust it parameters within its range hence why the management light issues. So would you say it was a worthwhile modification danny?

I was considering this but seems a quite a bit of work and quite expensive for not alot of gains and would be a pain come mot time!

I've emailed KTEC and they have said it would pass a MOT if Cat or sports cat is in place.

All I'm interested in is what sort of gains I'll get with it mapped, I mean I don't expect a lot seeing as its only a pre cat but it just seems like a bit of hassle at the minute

Hi!

I have Clio R27 with Akrapovic Evolution exhaust system, so there is no second cat, and today
a saw the check engine on my dashboard....
there is problem with first cat it's full, so what should I do?

I'm thinking about buy used manifold with cat or replace old cat by Y-pipe
KTR or Supersprint
I read a lot of forums, and there is no only one answer, that the remap is necessary
