Keyless entry

Hey all

Does the keyless entry have a cut out. For example,

Tonight I got out of the car with key in my pocket and the misus stayed in the car, engine was running. I went to the cash machine and all it said was key card not detected, so the good old woman said, let me jump out with the key and you drive off and see if it cuts out.

I drove at least 200m down the road, the car wasn't even beeping or anything, I turned around and picked her up.

But just to ask, does it have an anti theft thing if you get dragged out or car jacked but you still have the key on you?

nope - will keep running until you switch it off - then if no "key" detected it wont start

it wont start if the boots open either as an anti-theft prevention

The engine won't cut out, imagine if your keycard battery ran out half way down the motorway?

Obviously once you stop it you won't be able to start it again and they have RAID so it's unlikely you'd get jacked.
