keyless entry problem

Hi All

Got a problem with my 197 -- the key card has started to play up

I put a new battery into it but it still is temprimental, sometimes unlocking and locking, sometimes not

Yesterday couldn't get into the car so used the emergency key -- opened passenger door but alarm went off

Only way to get into car was to lean across and open drivers door and get in (alarm still going)

Alarm stopped, tried to start car but would only work if the key card was put into slot

Got home, locked car with the door handle button -- tried to unlock and no good

Any ideas

interesting point -- just tried it without the phone near me and it opened and locked

only weird thing was when I opened it the was an intermitent buzzing noise

I'll keep you posted because it does sometimes unlock and lock for a little while and then starts playing up ( I think the phone has always been with me)

I had the same problem! I disconnected the batter for half an hour. Done it for me .....
