hub ball joint f**Ked!!

So I'm guessing R Sport in Wimbledon is closed, any recommendations where to get this part from?
parkincj Have you tried Doncaster Diagnostic Centre? I had mine done there a couple of months back. They are a RS specialist and with you being located in Doncaster they must only be a 10 minute drive from you?

Will give them a call, only need the part as I will fit myself. Thanks for the info.

Lewjew how much did they charge to do this? (if you don't mind me asking) I'm in Grimsby and I think that is the closest RS Specialist to me.

Sorry niall_227 I've only just seen this. I think I paid about £330 for both sides. Might be worth giving them a call and mentioning you were recommended from this site, they might sort you out a discount

Have you changed these yourself mate do you know how hard of a job it is or if there's a how to?
Cheers

I havn't no. Not the easiest job ever though. Hub needs to come off usually; and they need pushing out with a press ideally. Coupled with a bit of heat perhaps. Unless experienced - a bit of a specialist job

Link i posted is the cheapest you'll get them though !

Ok cheers for the help appreciate it.ive done a few with presses but was a bit worried of breaking the hub or wether I'd be able to get the press in the hub due to the shape of it.bet Renault charge a fortune [emoji18]

Im going to be replacing all of mine, Just need to watch out for the Ebay Fakes and the cheap ones, It seems they are all the same price so best of buying genuine.

why are they measuring the rubber boot width on one and then not the same on the other (fake) one...

as for the 2 swivel joints one could say the fake one with the rubber dust cover would actually last longer than the genuine as it will stop water/dirt ingress!

I bought 2 swivel joints from them and they both have dust covers!!

Go figure...

Bit of an update on these.

I have found a UK supplier for genuine OCAP lower pivot ball joints as pictured below.

The item that is now in the U.K. is the OCAP genuine item used by Renault and the same as what Rofag sell.
There is only 8 in the U.K. at the moment as supplier is only getting them in dribs and drabs.
I have just bought 4 of them and collect them tomorrow
