Been back a couples of weeks now, after a 2 week holiday in Florida! A truly awesome holiday and an itch that had to be scratched after loving it 10 years ago!
One of the most tiring holidays I’ve ever endured but oh so worth it for the experiences it offers, and the valuable time to spend with my girlfriend and parents (yes for the record we had separate rooms!!)
The theme parks are fantastic, of which the 4D experience rides have really taken off, which my parents love as they’re not too keen on the idea of being thrown upside down on massive rollercoasters! We were easy covering 20,000+ steps each day, which gives a scale on how vast the size of the parks are, and how much there is to see!
The weather was around 30 degrees and humid which is expected in May. This caused a fair amount of showers but is was somewhat refreshing and certainly doesn’t stop your daily activities!
The car we had was a Chevrolet Impala, 300+ bhp V6 which sounded awesome, but soon learned you can’t drive it like a Clio round corners (where you could find a corner in America...)
Both a positive and a negative would be the food! The quality of the food is faultless, probably some of the best steaks i’ve ever experienced, however after 2 weeks of pizza / burgers / steaks, i was soon pining for a Sunday lunch and a bit of gravy!
Would recommend it as a holiday to anyone, especially families! It took a good year of saving up albeit, as both the flights / park tickets are quite expensive! There is so much to do in Orlando, that you need two weeks! I’d have loved to have visited NASA/Cape Canaveral as that was a highlight of when I visited last, but just didn’t have time to squeeze it all in!
I’ve been away for the forum for a few weeks, and poor @Beany reached out after fearing I’d been eaten by an alligator! But I am still alive and kicking! P.S my tapatalk seems to send notifications but errors, so the fact that’s not working has contributed as it’s what I normally use!! Hoping you’re all well, i’ll be catching up with the project threads this week as I’m sure there’s plenty to catch up on!
Here’s a random selection of photos, enjoy!
