bit of a strange one here guys but bare with me

For ages now i have noticed a strange noise to which i can only described as a slight rattle when i take the car to the redline and shift up a gear

it sounds like putting 2 dried peas in a paper cup rattling

at 1st i thought it was something in my door card. loose clip etc but i have looked and no joy

its only at high revs and sounds like its behind the dials or to the right of my steering wheel

i know im really clutching at straws but its starting to do my sweed in. anyone else had this or can give me any input

thanks in advance

Ashton

Pretty common Josh, mine did it from new for about the first 20k and she's still running sweet. I think its something to do with the VVT Trickery

Check the crimped cover on the top sway bar engine mount, its on the side, mine was loose and made a rattle at high revs

My 1st engine did this, since it's been replaced its fine. Have no idea what it was, best off taking it to a specialist mate.

Took mine to Renault and they said it was nothing to worry about, must've been right cite I've done 25k since and dont get the rattle now but as mike says you should get them to have a look incase it is something to be sorted.

The engine mount on top of the cambelt cover to the bulkhead, where the pin goes through the side there a cover with tabs that bend over to secure it to the mount.
