Hi ,
Just bought a 2nd hand 197 '07 , and I Love it!
I used this forum as a buyers guide, Amazing help!

The frenetic gearbox is mental (I love it)
goes like on rails, like it has glue on the wheels
Sharp + precise! , powerful
and Yes, its to me, Easy to drive it like granny too !

I can go all day telling you things you all already know,

Anyways , I got the feeling that I would like to keep it for ever(Fingers crossed)

I'm Coming from Alfas, and its my first Renault in SA,

had a clio before in Argentina where I'm originally from , it was a 1.9 Diesel (many years ago) and it was an amazing little car, almost trouble free ,

but there Renault is very popular, not like here where Renault is just breaking in the market ,
In Arg, to get parts and service is as easy as to find bread in a bakery.
But here seems to be only from Dealers.

If anybody here is from SA, where you take the car for service / repairs ?
dealers?
Any Indie specialists around?

Had a 156 , Brilliant Car! Best sedan ever made IMMO.
an a GT from the lemons tree...but when it was running , was great. Fast and Heavy

But... Bl00dy H311! this 197 its terrific!
What a car ! .... its like a rocket kart , but SOLID , steady !
if it had a 7th gear ! it could take off!

RSTuning sounds good, I'm afraid not that close to me , I'm in the North area
But I work in Bedfordview not that far...

I've heard there is a Renault specialist in Strijdom park, but no reference...not good not bad..

on the the Local forum renaultsport.myfastforum.org... I did register but I'm still inactive(read only), not sure whats going on with that forum ... is it alive?
