Hesitation to start on the button (197)

Hi all,

I recently bought a clio 197 and have noticed (not on every occasion), that if I press the start button, nothing happens for a few presses. Then it will fire up like everything is normal.

It’s almost like the ignition cycle doesn’t start.

I’m assuming this is a pretty common fault. Anyone had this before?

Loose internal connection/faulty start button?

Yeh I’d be leaning towards a button or switch problem with this too. Have you ruled out the brake and/or clutch switch by using the other one that you don’t normally use?
