*Help Needed* Steering

So last night I managed to be pushed over the road and smashed my wheel off the kurb.

Steering is now slightly off and needing it sorted so ordering the parts.

Issue I’m having is length of the parts.
I have all the OE part numbers and things.

Can anyone help me with the dimensions (length)

OE - 7701475837

Possibly a silly question. But why do you need the length?

Cause at £84 for 2 genuine ones I want to see if I can get aftermarket ones.

I crossed over the OE part number on AutoDoc and they are saying 230mm ?
When I called a motors factors they told me 280mm (I think) and it’s the only one that crossed from the OE number and my reg.

I have bought TRW track rods, anti roll bar links and anti rotation links at a huge saving and I’m looking to try and save more money before I need to buy genuine.

Just fitted 4 new tyres and car is getting full service tomorrow so it’s been a big hit this week.

I would disconnect the two track rod ends and with the steering unlocked pull the steering rack through its full movement left to right and make sure there is no steering rack internal damage like skipping a tooth because if there is a new rack comes complete all new internal and external track rod ends which makes a new rack a better price. Check subframe mounting lower mounting points for damage if nothing obvious get the alignment redone and wait for better weather and time. Not knowing how hard you hit it only you will know that realignment maybe all that is required.

Hope it was not as hard as this one.
