H@R Springs on a 200T

I got these springs on my 200T with cup. Fit them if you want to go for the looks. I wouldn't recommend them if you bought your Renault Sport for the driving experience. The car - with these springs fitted - is too harsh for spirited driving round B roads, unless the road is silky smooth. These springs take all the damping out of the car.

I signed up on this forum when I was looking for experiences with KW and I came across Ashton's thread. After reading his experiences I'm thinking of contacting AST to see if they are looking for a development car. Since I'm dutch, and their development department is in Holland as well, this might be an option.

Did anyone of you UK based owners got in contact with BC Racing yet?

P.S.: I'll introduce myself shortly in the therefore designed section.

Glad you have come along as thats what i wanted to know really about making it a hard ride.
Any one had the eibachs fitted bar ktec?

Already on it with BC. I have the first BC's for a 197/200 on our car.. 200T and Meg 250 will be the next plan of attack.

I will hopefully doing something wit GAZ as KW have been absolutely appalling to deal with.

Do not buy the Clubsport kit.

Do not waste your money

I have been without my kit and my money for over 3 months

The quality control. And customer Service is shocking to say the least

Isn't this all counter intuitive to all the development renault have put into the advanced damping system. I thought I had read that the suspension has been developed on race car technology.......is that for someone to stick a set of 200 quid springs on the car.

It really needs to be lowered but I'm also a bit afraid of ruining the excellent cup suspension.

Tough decision :001_unsure:

edit: how bad are B roads? are swiss roads smoother??? :swiss:

Exactly what I thought! Seems a bit backwards.

It all sounds crazy to me, lowering the car because it makes it look nicer but drives like a shopping trolley.

I've been studying in Switzerland last year, I would say; stick with the original suspension for now! you have a winner on the Swiss twisties right there! Keep it this way, enjoy it, and save money untill the point you can buy a properly designed coilover kit for the 200T!

GAZ?

urgh!

wouldnt wish that on anybody

Real bin fodder for a mk2 clio. Mine lasted about two months before being punted on. Absolutely awful. Same on the meggy, too.....

Well anything is better than the clubsports I had

I may just resort to some KW V3s as I have had them before
