Fault code - battery light and stop light

This fault comes on after around 15 mins of driving but not every time.

No change in performance, battery is fine, as soon as your turn off the ignition the light goes off.



Someone must know the remedy for this?

Had similar on mine recently. Would drive for 15-20 mins then all of a sudden, light on and battery warning. If you kept the car running and measured the battery voltage it had dropped down to 12v, turn it off, wait a few mins and restarted it it would be fine.
Also had the same happen with another alternator which was fluctuating between 13-17v causing a similar fault that kept coming and going.
Had the alternator rebuilt with a new regulator and problem fixed.

Just an update, I contacted Two Techs in Dartford, Kent today. Explained the fault they said they've seen this fault a few times and replacing the alternator has fixed the fault.

Going to be on the look out for a decent used alternator!

Be careful doing this, I did it... paid £30 for a second hand one off a known good car that was being broken, turned out that it had voltage fluctuation too up to 17v at times. Only cost me £50 to have my rebuilt with a new regulator! Worth a thought! Fit a forget once it's rebuilt hopefully.
