Experience needed :)

Hi, im going to be fitting my newly moddified 197 mani which is de-catted.

Im pritty handy with a spanner (motorsport degree student)

I changed the Gearbox on my 182 last year, but didnt drop the subframe completely. Just dropped it on one side.

I will be dropping the subframe completely to change the manifold. Rather than figure it out as i go along, i would like to get the job done quickly and correctly.

Could someone give me the steps which i need to do this.

I will try and take some pictures and make a guide out of it

I will post results of any gains in response etc. I will also get it back to the same rollers to see what gains there are.

Thanks Josh

its a mammoth job i believe as the axel is mounted further back than the 182's so I dont think u would be able to just drop the 1 side.

see what ppl say as I am intrigued.

I wouldnt undertake such job unless you have very handy facilities.

Very interested in how the car handles it though, although i suspect it will throw a wobbly :worried: Best of luck though

I have the facilities to do so, i know its a case of completely dropping the subframe.

I will just figure it out as i go along! Will post up some pictures of the home made decat...as soon as i figure out how!
