engine noise?

thanks guys sorry I'm a noob when it comes to cars! should I get it checked at a garage or leave it and see if it gets worse? its not affecting power and the way the power comes in is smooth if it was pinking would there be a loss of power?

check cover on engine mount left hand side of the engine bay

no power loss in detonation no. electronic knock sensors can go faulty at times and like everyone else said its best to get it checked out.

will do cheers guys I've also noticed that oil has went down to around half full (parked on a slight up hill so its more than likely a little higher). Should I empty the engine? I took delivery of 5litres of 5w40 oil today and I'm not sure which oil was in there before..

i use 5w40 thats what renault recommend try not to mix different brands
