Cup Suspension Setup VS Aftermarket

Hi all,

I eventually want to lower my 200 Cup to make it a little more flat when cornering.

Unlike my old 197 with H&R 30mm springs, this thing is very firm.

I was wondering if lowering it on springs would compromise the rigidity of the ride or take away from the handling?

It sounds like a silly question, but I basically don't want to make my car worse for the sake of lows.

Also, what manufacturer make decent 40mm lowering springs for the later 200 (61 plate)?

Cheers!

Tom.

Not sure there is a manufacturer out there that dose 40mm all round,By the sound of what you want mate might be worth getting some coilovers so you can have a tinker with the hight and ride.

Thanks Si.

Anyone know if aftermarket springs tend to be better or wose than cup springs?

I dont know about springs, all depends on the lb/ft compared to standard.

I do know however people report a better ride from coilovers compared to the cup suspension....you're right, its bloody hard!
