Cup Speedline rims size and weight

this means narrower tire = better handling, right? otherwise they would have fitted a 225

No, what Mark means is 215x45x17 on 7.5x17 should be same overall diameter on 235x40x17 on 8x17

Grip = Wider width, steering wheel response and handling = Lower Profile

225x45 on 17s will make the profile even thinker than 125x45 on 17s which can make the steering and handling worse, depends on what you prefer!

You always look at the first number; the second number is a % of the first one.

And you always change the overall numbers only within 2.5% not more!!

Have a look at the attached picture.

At the end of day, its all what you need and like, some like it stiff, some not, some like it light, some not... It's all you but we all change within the safe limit.

magnesium wheels are the only way to reduce weight and tbh. they will make no difference at all to the gears, u may notice a few 10ths fast round a track thats it
