connecting ipod with the glovebox cable

Hi guys,

I want to connect the ipod to the usb/aux ? cable which is the glovebox however when I insert the cable into the ipod nothing happens. I have changed the audio mode via the buttons on the steering column to aux but no luck.

Any advice ?

Which ipod is it?

I only ask because i have a classic and it wont recognise it.

It's an ipod touch.

I didn't get as far as the wires, just tried the different inputs and resorted to my trusty FM transmitter! [emoji6]

Try it on ohe other settings, someone on here had the same but found it worked when set to CD?!
