Yes anything that's not standard needs to be declared. If you have to make a claim you could have some hassle... Won't cost much to add an air filter tho.

live in Northern Ireland and our insurance is naturally more expensive, probably because of the troubles or some stupid excuse :@

It is more fear of the unknown. Historically not may UK insurers will cover Northern Ireland so they have no stats on the area so they have nothing to base their rates on.. I hope that makes sense!
