Check abs/check ESP lights on

Please help!
Just god in my car from tesco and these have came Jo
Previous journey was driven calmly
Just had it washed
May this have something to do with it?

This happened to mine when I first had the car and it was serviced -

Had to replace one of the coil packs and another one wasn't screwed on properly by the garage - doh. Never had a problem since, touch wood.:chair:

Good luck :thumbup1:

Mine did this a few times just before my Euro trip. Took it to renault dealership and they plugged it in...no fault codes logged, never saw it again :/

could be a sensor, could be the brake pedal switch, you need to get it on a clip. i very doubt its a coil pack as it has naff all to do with abs/esp.

Might go off after a short drive mate, mine does this when it's been on the rollers...

Shows "ABS/ESP Error" or something like that.

nah still on! drove it for an hour this morning.
on the duration of the journey except the 1st 10m before it had reliased there was a fault.

Checked the coil packs just to make sure, but all still as normal.

sounds like it could be an abs sensor as it comes on after you have driven - in that time the ecu has time to check the signals from the sensors as the car moves....might be worth having a look to make sure the wires to the wheel sensors are intact

i think after so many times it logs a fault, the ecu stores it and light lights stops on.

need it plugged in mate to read the faults if not its just guess work as the abs/esp has a lot of sensors!!!

have you checked all the fuses - just the simple things before going further?

Mite be best of taking it to a specialist mate mine usta come on rearly when it was icy or wet but never stayed on

From my experience, i took it to a specialist, they ran diagnostics on it, two fault were logged - saying it was misfiring on two cylinders ( when my lights used to come on - id have so little power, it would kanga SO harshly and it would rev to hell ) one coil was faulty and the other wasnt on properly from previous service about 6hrs before. Never seen that horrid light again.

When the lights came on immediately from start up the only way it would leave is after turning it off for an hour and coming back later..

So basically it could be a number of things that's upsetting it causing the ecu to mess you about..

Ive had an OBD reader on it.
Code P0325

Knock sensor 1 circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor), not sure how this has got any thing to do with ABS/ESP. Unless it is completely un-related, but surely there would be a code relating to the two lights.

I deleted these and the lights came on, deleted them again using a different method and then the light remained on.

HELP PLEASE :worried:

need to check the wiring to the knock sensor then - its under the inlet manifold and can be access fairly easily - been a few with a poor connection on the multi-plug on the end of the sensor - remove and spry with wd40 refit and they have been fine!

will get a picture of where it is...
