Couldn't give a fig (being polite here!) about that. The buzz with a naturally aspirated engine is in the fact that you have to grab it by the neck & wring the performance out of it. Performance is all relative, the Ferarris I grew up lusting after were performing roughly like my Clio.

The semi slicks, oh, that'll be the ones you were so quick to praise after your trip to Spa. I even considered getting a set after your rave reviews!
As for ugly cars, the picture you've posted looks beautiful to me.

Renault excelled themselves. Better gearing than the 197, better looks too. Finally made it the car it was conceived to be. Some numpties fitted Megane engines & norsed them up, but the original concept is great.
