Cambelt/Aux + Waterpump

Evening all,

Recently purchased a Clio 200 which has had its cam belt/ aux changed around 20k ago by its previous owner - however, its waterpump was not changed when done (dephaser not done either)

Read on cliosport.net that the water pumps do not fail on these very often. Should I be booking this in ASAP for a full cam belt and associated component change or am I over worrying?

Had to purchase this car as a result of the waterpump seizing on my Vectra which in turn caused the cam to snap and cause catastrophic failure so I am a bit paranoid.

water pumps are quite reliable so shouldn't be a big worry - they usually leak or make a noise before giving up

I know someone who had a water pump on their f4r for 10yrs...and only changed it at the second belt change
