What you are describing is not brake fade!

Proper brake fade is frightening, you have no braking what so ever, foot flat to the floor and nothing happens and the ABS would certainly not cut in.

It will be something or nothing just make sure if you are spanking it you try to brake hard and short rather than leaning on the brakes all the time.

brake fade but you say the abs was triggered....that only works when they are locking up....sure it wasnt the road surface ??

did they smell or were they giving off much heat when you had stopped

Mine stunk on sat but were working perfectly!!!

mmmmmmm brake smell . . .. . . sooooo nice.

anyways brake fade feels like a spongy pedal. and not much braking response.

brake fade is whne you get the brakes seriously hot - get some decent pads and it should sort out brake fade.
