Big spec 200 Cup *FOR SALE*

Please share an update once she's on the road! I recall one guy on here thought this kit induced too much understeer on his track day you. I'm interested to see other thoughts from users.
Will do no problem!

So the understeer issue you mentioned, Had a play with the damper settings at anglesey a few weeks go and had to keep the rear relatively soft, there was a fine line between the sweet spot and horrendous understeer as you said! but overall Im chuffed to bits with it so far and ID do the same again without a doubt.

Shocks are due back Monday so can get the axle welded up and everything powder coated grey. Brakes on, some new braided brake lines made up for the rear to accommodate the axle mods.
Gen Cup Racer wheels and spoiler will hopefully land next week also!
What engine/gearbox oil are all you guys running?

For engine, I go with Redline 15W50 for my Megalio. You can consider Motul 0 or 5W40
For Transmission, I go with Motul 75W90 as i'm running with LSD

Well its back together at last new brake lines made up/brakes bled/rear beam fitted. Cup wheels and new Toyos have landed. Half way there with the Geo but passing it over to my cousin to sort now as it's just beyond me. I've slotted all the spare shims I have at the bottom so he can just remove the top bolts and slot them in.
The exhaust is just plain offensive after fitting the manifold so another friend is fitting a new centre silencer next week to hopefully shut it up!
Stil have a slight (hard to explain) shudder/splutter pulling away after its been sat idling for a while. All coils/plugs and front lambda are new. The lambda has made a difference as it was switching very slowly but not cured the fault. I've cleaned the vvt solenoid in an ultrasonic bath but for what it is I'm going to try a new one and will clean and test the injectors and fit some new baskets/seals while they're out. It's not a misfire as such just a hesitation that clears. it's very strange . . .
Waiting for some ducting for the brake ducts and fab some mounts up, then try and get the shocking brand new cup spoiler 4C93791A-725C-4951-9E99-37A08BA9CDEA_1_201_a.jpeg21A1D265-5E53-4732-8471-0F193E336327.jpeg4D0E30B8-43D9-4F90-A62A-FABAD36098D3.jpeg52377CE6-FCEF-498B-8CBA-A0485E756669.jpeg701FA85F-EA0B-4FBF-8066-CC4B9A8B771D.jpeg8A9EF110-3E4C-401C-A523-91E6670F73A5.jpegView attachment 1416187AE10AC7-BC2A-4999-AFA3-40334440B65E.jpeg48B4DF54-45ED-42E6-B582-CA3A6E0CEF40.jpeg703290DA-AE5C-4D13-87DA-66658CEEE15C.jpegto shape and fit then get some miles on it before its first outing!4C93791A-725C-4951-9E99-37A08BA9CDEA_1_201_a.jpeg21A1D265-5E53-4732-8471-0F193E336327.jpeg4D0E30B8-43D9-4F90-A62A-FABAD36098D3.jpeg52377CE6-FCEF-498B-8CBA-A0485E756669.jpeg701FA85F-EA0B-4FBF-8066-CC4B9A8B771D.jpeg8A9EF110-3E4C-401C-A523-91E6670F73A5.jpegView attachment 141618

Pretty sure the hesitation is normal on the N/A cars when the exhaust is changed. I think no centre silencer causes it. Best way to cure is mapping but your issue could be different to what I’ve read about. My car is turbo so can’t comment much.

Couple more little jobs done this eve, ceramic coated the wheels and calipers and fitted some new pedals.
Ordered some toe shims to straighten the rear up so will fit them tomorrow, re adjust the front and re check, then corner weight it Wednesday and finish the brake ducts! Absolutely in love with these wheels!

So just a few pics of the brake ducts, how tight! No room whatsoever but just about clear everything and still intact after 2 track days. The hose does touch the drop link and slight rub on the disc on lock until I pulled it back a little. After the geo setup it was a different car completely and absolutely faultless on its first outing at Anglesey. Set the dampers half way to start with then played with them a little. The thing understeers like crazy when the rears too hard but all in all great fun for the spec! Fitted some of Josh wheelers column spacers and some stub axle/hub spacers front and rear just to bring the wheels out a touch. Don't happen to know the lengths of your rear hoses do you ? I assume they're going straight from the front to rear pipes to the calipers ,Removing the short hoses and pipes across the beam?

I had an advisory for cruddy brake pipe that goes along the beam yesterday and have had braided hoses on my to do list for ages so was thinking of doing similar

Hi sorry Ive only just seen this, a chap on here makes them I cant for the life of me remember his user but Il try and dig out the message

So after a great day at Blyton Park last weekend the clutch slave decided to give up at the very end of the day! (could not of been luckier). I was going to fit a Gripper Diff over winter anyway so that just sped things up really. Got the diff, 3pc clutch kit, quick shift, genuine oils and clutch damper bypass pipe ordered last Monday. Just whipped the box out today ready to drop off at KN Transmissions. The box has been rebuilt already before I bought the car so shouldn't need anything. It's a shame the clutch was drenched in fluid as its like brand new! Slight weep from the sump so did that while I managed to get some ramp time. I was going to get the flywheel lightened while its out but there's not much on it already!???:blush: IMG_3256.jpegIMG_3305.jpegIMG_3312.jpegIMG_3313.jpegIMG_3314.jpegIMG_3315.jpegIMG_3318.jpegIMG_3319.jpegIMG_3320.jpegIMG_3321.jpegIMG_3322.jpeg

The front brakes were a bit ‘Grindy’ all afternoon whipped a wheel off to check the pads and visually looked fine but stripped them out while it was in the ramp and they’re literally falling apart and have scored the inside of discs. Will go with the same brembo hc discs but pretty much decided on the Winmax w5 front and w3 for the rear instead of the ferrodos 11.1 / 2500, tho they have been great! 97DCBE1F-4E9F-43E8-81A3-1C62DAFA08C5.jpegE2B7A7C4-5FA3-409D-AC0A-649163C971CF.jpeg

So had the Gripper fitted early this week and picked the flywheel up, as I expected they've not gone mad with it but every little bit helps! Re-fitted the box/clutch/quickshift/damper bypass pipe this morning and sand blasted all the brackets. Wish Id done the gearbox casing now instead of painting it but hey ho, left the garage with a mate detailing it while I went to collect the first part of the power hike!! The clutch feels so much better, I'm presuming it's the lack of the clutch damper, and the gear change is much more precise with the new arm. A couple of magnetic sump plugs and solid dog bone to complete!

So Oulton Park and Anglesey booked for the 12th and 13th December so it's time to crack on! Whipped the dash out yesterday to remove the passenger airbag, sound deadening and removed a few brackets. Dropped the dash top and a pillar trims off with Raj an Autofloc for the obvious while its off! One of the easiest dash' I've ever had to remove!

Was toying between the Cae and shifters but the prices are just obscene so decided on the short shift pawl on the box and one of Josh Wheelers gear shifter towers.

There's not many options out there for gear knobs so tapped the lever top and got a simple white nylon knob and tapped that to suit.

The discs were like new just a few slight grooves so skimmed them, a bit of high temp paint and fitted the new Winmax pads.
