Get him to fit it surely! Dont know how handy u are as a mechanic but them boys really know what they're doing. So won't be any rattles or rubbing when it's on.
I do love delivery day! Shiny new Scorpion decat arrived in the post, I also managed to pick up a very nice second hand Ktec induction kit from [MENTION=51445]Kazumz[/MENTION] on here!
Now I have decisions to make. Andy at Engine Dynamics has given me what I think is an extremely reasonable price to supply a cat back exhaust, fit the parts I have and remap it!
Do I save myself the hassle of a massive flat spot driving all the way down to him by just paying that little extra to have it all fitted and dynoed at the same time?
Service and inspection day tomorrow, slightly nervous now!!

An exciting week..
Picked up a set of 200 Cup alloys complete with Michelin Pilot Sport 3s for an absolute bargain, makes such a difference!
Today I went to John Kleis in Reading to have the Cabasse unit changed for a normal one, I left with an empty pocket and a big smile on my face. Nice DAB Pioneer unit combined with the Cabasse speakers makes for a very balanced and great sounding setup!
Finally being serviced Thursday..then booking in with Engine Dynamics for the Scorpion system! Followed by the springs and spacers me thinks..need to reduce the arch gap.

So I'm going to completely resurrect this dead project page...it's a long one.
I've had a busy few months working so might finally be able to get some of this stuff done (sort of).
First off..Engine Dynamics happened and it went very well indeed. Full inspection left me with a fair few niggly bits to sort for the MOT next month so need to get on with it however this printout made me very happy.
A dodgy cam sensor was throwing it way off the mark prior to the map, so with that resolved it became a completely different car. 201.7bhp and 161.9lbft with just a Ktec induction kit, Scorpion decat and exhaust!
..oh, and a blowing manifold. [emoji1304]
So that is in the pipeline to be sorted, will be returning to Engine Dynamics in the near future for a manifold replacement (possibly toyo) and map tweak.
Along with that in the inspection, I've got a sticky rear calliper, cracked spring, front discs and pads heavily worn, tie rod on the way out and both number plate lights out.
So I rectified the easy bit first...nice and cheap eBay job but absolutely stunningly bright, will be interesting to see how long they last!
Meanwhile in my house it's like Christmas...
Set of Eibach Pro springs, Brembo front discs and Mintex pads all delivered in the same day!
I've also purchased some H&R 25mm spacers and a Powerflex Upper Engine Torque Arm Mount with today's code from CarParts4Less, so they will be here shortly..
I also decided to spruce up the interior a little with this purchase! £30 fully tailored mats off eBay will do me...
No photos of the car just yet..it's absolutely filthy and with a week off next week, I will have a bit of time to concentrate on getting the bodywork a little bit better, needs touching up in places and possibly a new front bumper though so I'm not planning on wasting lots of polish until I'm happy with it!!

Looking good! Quick question, when you had your head unit fitted did the guys that did it rip out all the stuff under the seat? I'm toying with doing it to mine, it'll make life easier!
Essentially yes, they've disconnected everything under there so nothing runs through anymore. It's all behind the dash now (where it should be!!).
It really wasn't cheap but what a job they did on it. DAB was possibly the best thing I did sound related, the choice of channels is unreal! Debating on new speakers though, the cabasse aren't the best. They're okay, for now, but my Bose system in my Audi was soooo much better.

Andy is spot on, so thanks for your recommendation. Breath of fresh air talking to someone who really knows what they're doing when it comes to one of these.
It's driving beautifully, the only kick in the teeth is that the precat stopped rattling whilst it was on the rolling road, so we thought the decat had cured it! Unfortunately not the case [emoji853] will sound weird without a rattle.....

Yeah I'm missing radio too, may need to sort something out with mine, it has internet radio, don't know the difference tbh!
Definitely upgrade the front components, it'll be night and day, especially if you amp them!

Disconnected and rerouted the cables I probably should have said! Was about 3/4 hours labour so not a short job by any means.
You seem pretty clued up about the speakers etc, don't suppose you could hit me up with a link to some decent speakers and an amp? [emoji1303]

So my shipment turned up from Carparts4less. Can't fault the delivery time, ordered Thursday arrived Monday morning!
My only gripe, the spacers turned up in a massive box, and as you can see in the photo, my Powerflex mount turned up in a separate package! Talk about wasting material...all ordered in the same basket too.
No more to update as of today, however discs and pads should be on tomorrow with springs and spacers to follow shortly after...I hate being mechanically inept, would have loved to have done the whole lot myself by now!

So I decided to get motivated today and actually get dirty. One ruined pair of jeans, a broken T40 Torx bit and one stubbed thumb later, I'm running new Mintex pads and Brembo HC discs.
Sorry to all you clean freaks, I haven't touched the callipers..however they are getting painted soon (Red or Yellow?) along with the discs getting the Hammerite treatment.
Back to the yard tomorrow (on my week off, I must be crazy) for a wash and polish, then in next door for two tyres and to check the emissions on the manifold cat to see what it's throwing out with a decat pipe!
