Anti - roll bar

Hi

I try to read has much has possible but I cannot find accurate answers ...

In the 197 the anti roll bars are different that the 200??

I read that the 200 have in front more 1mm that the 197
Is this true?

I read that the rear have 30mm anti roll bar
Why the (for ex.) makes a new with only 18mm and some reports say that the rear is more stable???

Thanks

200 Cup does have a slightly thicker ARB at the front, neither 197 or 200 have a rear ARB.

ARB's are not something to be changed without thorough research. As a general rule on a FWD car you should stiffen the rear before stiffening the front; you only stiffen the front to try to reduce oversteer.

Stiff front = understeer
Stiff rear = oversteer

I tried a thicker front ARB with no mods to the rear and it was a HUGE mistake. Make sure you thoroughly research before making mods like this.

On my dads 888 Astra he put on a rear anti roll bar (designed by 888) and it made the car turn in so much nicer and help keep the car turned in tight. He loved the effect it had.
