Alien Green 200 CUP

The missing bolt isn't an issue, my original engine didn't have anything there and the replacement has nothing there too. Headlights are shared with the facelift mk3 Clio so you can pick them up cheap from a breaker, I think there's aftermarket alternatives available on Autodoc or similar for £notmuch.

The spare hole in the headlight is for a plastic rivet that clicks into another plastic clip on the back of the bumper if you are wandering.

PureMotorsport engine mounts fitted. Will have all 4 stock engine mounts with with Powerflex inserts for sale.

Battery relocated, heavily inspired by the Duct3d kit. I luckily had everything left over from rewiring my mk2 several times and managed to make everything work.

Fuse boxes are in their temporary location as I wanted prove the concept worked ok. I’ll look to strip wiring loom back and relocate them better later down the line. Also need to work out an intake setup.

I’ve future proofed the wiring with another fuse box behind the centre dash panel as I’ve got some ideas moving forward.

Replaced the alternator and fitted a new belt. Pain in the arse to be honest as it has a Ktec air con delete bracket fitted using a stretchy belt. I’ve still got this Cartek battery cut off to fit now I know it all works.

More work carried out on the 200.

Started with some easy jobs. I’ve bonded the spoiler blade back to the mounts as this was rattling really bad on the last track day and only made worse with the PMS engine mounts.

Picked up a pair of front lights, only fitted the passenger one, but may make some blanks with the others.

Started planning the Cartek wiring routing.
IMG_4485.jpeg

Fitted an oil pressure and temp gauge, wired in and ran the sensor cabling into the bay. Also decided on location of the Cartek buttons.
IMG_4509.jpeg

Fitted a sandwich plate for the gauge temp sensor and remote mounted the OE oil pressure sensor with the gauge sensor
IMG_4600.jpegIMG_4601.jpeg

Did an oil and filter change along with plugs and coils.
IMG_4602.jpeg

Then finished off the Cartek wiring, made sure it work as it should, then mounted the isolator correctly and finished off the wiring with braided shelve and heat shrink.

Lastly on the wiring side was to remove the stalks and replace it with the Volantech carbon switch panel.

And the final job was to fit the SWmotorsport splitter, mounts and cup racer replica subframe brace.

Not sure how impressed I am with this yet. The subframe brace rattles badly, and seems to hit the exhaust I think. And the airdam doesn’t seem to fit the 200 bumper in the grove it’s meant to. So has to sit much further out.
I’ll revisit this soon as I was trying to get everything done for a track day at Mallory park yesterday.

Forgot I also broke the air filter that was on it by accident so had to fit the Ktuned filter off my K20 for the time being. Really need to decide on intake setup for this.
