Cheers man. I've feel like I've learnt a lot very quickly I think. I take all my pics on full manual now.

I always try to use the lowest possible ISO and work around that. This was a little under exposed but I luckily didn't lose any data and if anything it made it more dramatic.

Exposure, 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture, f/4.0
Focal Length, 28 mm
ISO Speed, 100
White Balance, Auto
Lens Model, EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6

I would usually slightly overexpose in a situation like that as I find it easier to darken/add contrast to things in PP than lighten.
