No problems for me so far
Probably getting close to 4 months ownership now (PH2 Trophy) - blimey that's flown by!
As
@Micah will tell you, getting the mid silencer chopped out opens up a considerably more addictive range of sounds so I'm glad I jumped on that mod right away.
- 5 door has come in handy on a few occasions
- boot space is great
- interior is much nicer than my old 197
- cruising is quieter, far better insulation
- fuel economy is better (circa 20% improvement over my 197)
- love the auto (more than I ever thought I would, I'm certain I'll actively look for an auto when replacement time comes)
- suspension is considerably more comfortable than my 197 (non-cup) yet there's far less body roll
- the LED headlights are sensational at night
Only negatives I can come up with;
- cup holders are still annoyingly small as with the MK3's
- still get one or two buzzy sounds when up in the rev range, although still nothing like my 197
- the "wheel skip" on full lock when manoeuvring can be a little unnerving but it's not a fault
Unaware of any 'common faults' with these - even the 200T/220/Trophy Facebook group who are very active rarely seem to post of any mechanical woes, they seem pretty well sorted. I think some of the early 200's had some gearbox niggles, but from what I've read most have been sorted after a software update from Renault.
