200 cup rack

Hi,
Does the 200 cup rack definitely fit early 197s? Also I seem to remember someone saying it comes with something else? Just checking before I order one.

Yes, definitely. I've had one fitted on mine, no problems.

Could you notice any difference?
Also how come you changed it?

I beleive they come with tie rods, so shouldn't need anything else. You could change tre's at same time though

I changed it under extended warranty, mine went tits up...typical mk3 steering racks.

I did notice a difference yes, I had it fitted alongside a 200 cup anti roll bar (1mm thicker, not the cup racer one) and the outcome was really good. Noticeably better responsiveness, I'd definitely do it again.

Ok well it's going to my mechanic on sat, see what he says about the problem with the steering, I'm pretty sure the steering rack needs replacing though!
