Ah I forgot to update that. I ended up just getting an oem one and fitting that but after taking it apart and actually sealing it to the elements rather than relying on a flimsy rubber gasket.

Me. Well it was an M135 but essentially the same car. They are very nice cars, more than fast enough, comfortable, well made, sound great, come with all the "mod-cons" you need, surprisingly efficient when you drive sensibly, tax is cheaper than a Clio, insurance was cheaper (for me at least)...

Speak to DTM Cars (based in Newcastle) they sell lots of RS's. Tell Trevor what you're after and if he hasn't got one in he'll probably be able to find one.

The ball joints would be 12 and 6. The 3 and 9 is probably track rods. When you checked the 3 and 9 are you sure it wasn’t the steering turning rather than actual play?

I think grey was a 197 seat and the yellow was a 200 seat.

The only thing you can change is front toe unless you get camber/toe shims for the rear and adjustable front top mounts. Put a bit of toe out on the fronts and see how it feels.

I feel your pain, they are an absolute shambles to deal with at times (both RUK and seemingly many of the dealers). I can’t get you any evidence but I know for certain that I’ve read about a number of these being replaced under the anti-corrosion warrantee. Like you say it must be illegal for...
